I'm Confused Why All Other Flashlights Suck
I've had a bunch of flashlights over the years. Some super expensive, some cheap, some that rhyme with 'Sod Bite', and I was ok with a lot of their performance, but they always left something to be desired. Color me surprised when this little thing shows up and, at just a mighty 3 inches, manages to blow them all out of the water in every single category.
- Good Interface? Check - It's got custom button settings.
- Good Battery Life? Check - I've been dicking around and playing with it, not to mention EDC'ing it for 4 weeks now, I haven't had to charge it yet. And even if I did, rechargeable batteries of the same kind are like $6 each. Spares live in the truck or bags.
- Good Beam/Brightness? Nope, its Great, not Good. This little 3 inch monster out performs any light I have, including those massive (albeit cheap) spotlights you can get from the hardware store. Max brightness is almost silly. I have my button settings in the order of 1%, 10%, 35%, 100% and I barely ever make it past 10% for any actual use. Higher settings are mostly for fun, or looking across the fields around the house.
- Good Build Quality? Check, feels hefty and all solid metal, has a nice mouth feel too for those 'two-handed but I still need a damn light' applications.
- Good Ordering Experience? Check, it was $50 on sale, arrived within a week, and came with stickers. I can't think of anything more a man can ask for.
Easy 10/10, will definitely be coming to Goonbeam for all of my pocket-sun needs in the future.
